Vitamin C vs Glycolic Acid for Hyperpigmentation and acne spots which one works better, I have used Glycolic acid and salicylic acid face wash before and Vitamin C came to the market some time ago and is booming, I use tretinoin and Salicylic acid serum alone on alternative days and I don't know if I should go for a Vitamin C Serum or get a Glycolic acid-based product. Use Vit C on dry face and let it sit 10-15 minutes. Use Niacinamide on areas where needed and let sit 10-15 minutes. Use moisturizer and let sit 20 minutes. Add sunscreen. PM. Use olive oil to take off the remnants of sunscreen (and makeup if I put on some) Use the Garnier SkinActive Micellar gel cleanser.

I tried the Alpha Arbutin + HA serum. I could see a sliiiight reduction in acne scars. But it irritated my skin quite a bit and dried it out. I'm not sure why though, like was it the alpha arbutin that was drying out my skin or something else in the formula. So as a whole it wasn't really worth it for me at least.
The arbutin + HA serum is still colorless on Deciem's site, but they also carry an ascorbic acid + alpha arbutin serum that has a dark red/brown bottle as a separate product from the arbutin + HA serum. If you got that one on accident your skin might be reacting to the vitamin C or the higher concentration of propanediol.

Alpha Arbutin vs Vitamin C for Hyperpigmentation, Dark Spots, Acne Spots, and Melasma. Vitamin C or Arbutin. Alpha Arbutin and Vitamin C Serum. The Ordinary A From what I know you shouldn't apply vitamin c and niacinamide together. I've been thinking about buying this serum but I noticed this exact combo of ingredients here. Water / Aqua, Alpha-Arbutin, Vitamin B3 / Niacinamide, Polysorbate 20, Vitamin C / Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Ferulic Acid, Azelaic Acid, Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Citric Acid
As azelaic acid and vitamin C both work in the same way, you’d be better off choosing one of the two and combining it with the ingredients mentioned above – that’s not to say that azelaic acid and vitamin C wouldn’t boost each others tyrosinase-inhibiting effects though. They’re also effective at similar pH levels, with azelaic acid
